Clean the media cover

Introduction

When the printer is polluting your media with for example uncured ink or glue, check the media cover. In case of pollution, you can clean the media cover.

Before you begin

Use Colorado 1630 prescribed:

  • Microflex gloves for handling ink

  • Lint free cloths

  • Cleaning liquid (IPA)

NOTE

For information on the prescribed maintenance materials, see List of Colorado 1630 maintenance materials.

CAUTION
  • Wear the prescribed gloves when contact with ink or maintenance materials is possible. Gloves should always overlap sleeves. Follow the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines carefully in order to ensure maximum safety.

Procedure

  1. Put on the Colorado 1630 approved gloves.
  2. Go to the media input side and open the media cover.
  3. Inspect if the media cover is polluted on the inside.
  4. Take a lint free cloth and clean the media cover.
  5. Dampen the cloth with the cleaning liquid to remove any remaining ink.
    IMPORTANT

Use the prescribed cleaning liquid. Do not use any other cleaners.

  6. Dispose the gloves, cloths and pin as chemical waste according to local regulations.
  7. Close the media cover.
