Shutdown Procedure

Introduction

Perform the Shutdown procedure at the end of productive session before long time idle state (overnight or during the weekend).

Procedure

  1. Finish a productive day with a manual dry tex-wipe tissue wipe on all printheads

  2. Print a nozzle check to check for the number of failing nozzles.

  3. If there are printheads with too many failing nozzles, perform a standard AMS procedure for the specific channels.

    See: Automatic Printhead Maintenance (AMS)

    NOTE

    Do an AMS when:

    • more than 2 nozzles outs exist in a single printhead

    • 2 or more adjacent nozzle outs exist in a single printhead

  4. Reprint a nozzle check to check for the number of failing nozzles.
  5. If there are still printheads with too many failing nozzles, do the following procedures for restoring persistent failing nozzles before leaving the engine in idle state:
