Print an 'Interior decoration' application

Introduction

The 'Interior decoration' recipe creates a Photo Fine Art application with golden details, achieved by allowing the media to show through in relevant areas of the print.

In the example below, the PDF contains the following information in a single layer.

  • The colour image.

  • An area in spot colour 1 to apply white ink to isolate the colour image from the media.

Procedure

  1. Launch the ONYX Thrive RIP Queue.
  2. Select your PDF and click on [Open in Océ].
  3. Select the 'Interior decoration' recipe.
    IMPORTANT

For this type of recipe, where spot colours are mixed with colour information in the same PDF layer (so no special ink mask layers used), the 3D preview does not show "what you see is what you print". In this example the preview shows a red area, because red represents the spot colour used to isolate the colour image from the media.

  4. When you see a warning or a waiting message in the 'Layers' section, open the [Layers] tab and define the correct settings.

The 'Interior decoration' recipe contains 2 layers, printed on the front side of the media.
