CE Declaration of Conformity (EEA including Switzerland)

  • According to 2006/42/EC a document setting out the contents of the CE Declaration of Conformity is included in this User Documentation.

Radio Interference suppression (all countries except USA)

  • Warning: This equipment is compliant with Class A. In a residential environment this equipment may cause radio interference.

FCC approval (USA)

  • This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the User Documentation, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.

  • Do not make any changes or modifications to the equipment unless otherwise specified in the User Documentation. If you make such changes or modifications, you could be required to stop operation of the equipment.

Laser Safety (All countries)

  • CDRH regulations

    This machine is certified as a Class 1 Laser product under Radiation Performance Standard according to the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1990. Compliance is mandatory for Laser products marketed in the United States and is reported to the Centre for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This means that the device does not produce hazardous laser radiation. The related label indicates compliance with the CDRH regulations and must be attached to laser products marketed in the United States.

    CAUTION

    Use of controls, adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified in this User Documentation may result in hazardous radiation exposure. This is a semiconductor laser. The maximum power of the laser diode is 0.5 mW.

End of Life; Handling of disposal of parts (Japan)

Translation: Handling of disposals. Used consumables and expendables must be discarded by the customer as industrial waste in accordance with the laws as well the regulations of local government.

RoHS (China)

The Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP) applicable for the machine designated for deliveries to the Peoples Republic of China is 20 years. This EPUP, which does not include consumables or expendables, does not affect any warranty that is provided for the system and may not be construed or interpreted as a separate guarantee for the machine.

RoHS (Vietnam)

Canon brand products sold in Vietnam market comply with following Circular and Decision - "Circular No.30/1011/TT-BCT dated August 10, 2011 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stipulating temporarily the permissible content limitation of some toxic chemicals in the electronic, electrical products" - Decision No.4693/QD-BCT correcting Circular 30/2011/TT-BCT.

REACH compliance (EEA including Switzerland)

  • REACH regulation (EC No 1907/2006) article 33 requires information to be communicated to customers/end users about the presence of SVHC substances included in the REACH candidate list when such substances are above the threshold of 0.1% in articles. If such information has to be communicated it can be found on www.canon-europe.com/about_us/sustainability/business/reach_customer_statement/.

    Under normal conditions of use, there will be no exposure and no special measures are required for safe use.

Energy consumption (All countries)

  • The energy consumption of Imaging Equipment can be determined by means of the TEC-procedure. This procedure was developed under the responsibility of the United States Environmental Protection Agency. TEC stands for Typical Electricity Consumption. The TEC-value of a product represents the energy consumed in a week under standardized conditions. For the Arizona 1300 Series the TEC-value is listed in the Product Safety Data Sheet.

Acoustic noise emission (All countries)

  • Sound pressure (LpA = 71 dB(A)) is used to characterize the sound level that will be experienced at operator position (around the product at a distance of 100 cm (39.4 inch) and a height of 150 cm (59.1 inch)) and is defined as the dynamic variation of the static pressure of air measured in force per unit area. Sound pressure is normally represented in decibels [dB]. Typical values are a sound pressure level of 0 dB, which is the average threshold of human hearing, and 60 to 70 dB for normal conversation, 110 dB at an extremely loud music concert, and 150 dB for the noise of a jet engine at close range.
