Define the [Finition] settings

The [Finition] tab allows you to specify the finishing settings for the document. Not all settings are available for all finishers.

[Finition]

You can overrule the defined finishing settings in the document, without losing the original finishing settings.

  • [Comme dans le document]

Print the document with the original finishing settings.

  • [Aucune finition]

Print the document without any finishing settings.

  • [Agrafage du coin]

Print the document with 1 staple in the corner, but without any fold and punch settings.

  • [1 agrafe bord]

Print the document with 1 staple, but without any fold and punch settings.

  • [2 agrafes bord]

Print the document with 2 staples, but without any fold and punch settings.

[Bord de chargement]

The paper can be fed into the printer with the long edge or the short edge. This depends how the paper is loaded in the paper tray.

  • [Défauts de l'imprimante]

Use paper from the default paper tray of the printer.

  • [Bord court]

Use paper from a paper tray where the [Bord de chargement] is [Bord court].

  • [Bord long]

Use paper from a paper tray where the [Bord de chargement] is [Bord long].

[Froissage]

Apply a crease to define a fold line. For example, creasing of the covers is often a part of bookbinding. The well defined folding lines then act as hinges for the folding.

You can select which pages must be creased. The location of the crease is defined in the finishing template used by the finisher.

[Mode de rognage]

  • [Aucun]

  • [Premier plan]

Only the front edge of the sheet is cut. Use option [Format de finition] to define the sheet size after trimming. The drop-down list contains predefined sheet sizes, e.g. A4. Or you can select value [Personnalisé] to define the width of the sheet yourself.

  • [Premier plan, haut, bas]

The front edge and the top and bottom of the sheet are cut. Use option [Format de finition] to define the sheet size after trimming. The drop-down list contains predefined sheet sizes, e.g. A4. Or you can select value [Personnalisé] to define the width and the height of the sheet yourself. You can also define the [Décalage vers le bas].

[Pression piqûre à cheval]

Enable option [Pression piqûre à cheval] to apply mechanical pressure to a folded document. The result is a tightly folded document with a flat spine. Use option [Ajustement] to increase or decrease the mechanical pressure.

This setting is not available for all finishers.
