You can configure the CCI in the Settings Editor. If the setting "CCI configured" is set to "not configured" the CCI functionality is not available.
The service engineer can print during SDS or SCM. To do so, the CCI device is set to unconfigured when switching to SDS or SCM mode.
If the setting "CCI count duplex as simplex" is set to "true" a duplex print will be counted as a simplex print.
If the setting "CCI count large as medium" is set to "true" a large print will be counted as a medium print. A large print is a sheet with a long edge >= 364 mm.
The accounting parameters of the CCD are different than the parameters used by the PRISMAsync Print Server to calculate the "total counter".

All printed page-sides are accounted via CCI:
Simplex sheets result in one click
Duplex sheets result in two clicks
Large formats are counted twice
Insert sheets result in zero clicks
Error sheets (on which an image is fused) are also “clicked”
When the credits run out during a run, all separated sheets from the paper trays are printed and delivered correctly. The PRISMAsync Print Server stops printing, goes to standby and sets a runtime contradiction. The number of delivered sheets without booking a credit are approximately 10 to 14 sheets when printing from one PIM and 12 to 16 sheets when printing from three PIMs. This means that worst case a total of 63 (=((16 * 4) - 1)) clicks are not accounted.
A duplex sheet is always printed, even when there is no credit available to print the back of the sheet.
To minimise the number of prints that are made when the credits run out, the printing (scheduling) should stop as soon as possible. The scheduler must not wait for the PRISMAsync Print Server to go to standby. To achieve this, the scheduling of new prints should be disabled at the moment it is detected that there are no credits.
When an error occurs and set recovery is required, the user has to remove the partially delivered set and the set is printed again. Each printed image sheet side is clicked again. Set recovery does not occur very often. Set recovery occurs only after a tab error or clean job error.
