The Job Definition Format (JDF) is a collection of industry-accepted XML tags. Basically, any type of information regarding a print job, from the design stage up to postpress, are embedded in the XML tags. The JDF ticket describes the job ticket and it contains (a reference to) a file, e.g. a PDF file. Note that a JDF ticket can also contain multiple (references to) files.
This chapter describes:
The JDF ticket specification of the PRISMAsync Print Server for Océ VarioPrint 6000 Series, release 7.3 and older.
The extensions and changes to the general JDF ticket to connect PRISMAsync with Agfa :Apogee version 8 and 9.
