Nozzle Uniformity Control

Action

Description

Nozzle Uniformity Control sheets (QA charts)

Nozzle Uniformity Control sheets are printed to control the behavior of nozzles.

QA charts can be printed on job media or alternative media.

Non-uniformity

When the printer detects non-uniform behavior from nozzles, corrections are performed.

Nozzle Uniformity Control (NUC) interval

Can be configured. Default: 2000 sheets

Nozzle Activity Control

Action

Description

Nozzle Activity Control sheet (QA charts)

A nozzle activity control sheet is printed to detect non-performing nozzles.

QA charts can be printed on job media or alternative media.

Nozzle activity compensation

Higher drop size by adjacent nozzles.

Nozzle activity control (NAC) interval

Can be configured. Default: 100 sheets

Printhead maintenance to solve multiple non-performing nozzles

When the number of non-performing nozzles surpasses a certain threshold, printhead maintenance takes place before the job continues. This behavior can be configured.

Refresh dots and lines

Refresh dots or refresh lines are jetted to keep the nozzles open and clean.

Nozzle activity control (NAC) markers

NAC markers are printed on the trailing edge of every sheet.
