Purpose of this user guide

This user guide has been developed to explain the concepts of PRISMAremote Manager and to instruct how to work with PRISMAremote Manager.

Many PRISMAremote Manager concepts, functions and views are also available on the control panel of the printer.

To understand and learn the job locations, job properties, and workflow options, read the operation guide of the printer.

Target group

The target group of PRISMAremote Manager is responsible for job management from a remote location or workstation.

The target group needs to have the following access rights to access the related functions:

  • [Access all jobs]

  • [Access Settings Editor and PRISMAsync Remote Manager]

The default access rights are configured in the factory defined user group: [Central operators].

Printer versions

The descriptions and instructions in this guide are developed for PRISMAsync Print Server printers with Mark 9.1.

NOTE

Printers with Mark 6.2 and up are supported. However, these printers can have different behaviour or do not have all functionality described in this guide.

Importantly, the primary printer in a cluster must have Mark 9.1. Otherwise, PRISMAremote Manager will not be available.
