Hold, Release and Stop Now buttons

You can use the [Hold], [Release] and [Stop now] to stop or resume the print process.

When the printer is on hold, you can release it to resume printing.

  • Use [Hold] to request a stop after the current set of print jobs.

  • Use [Stop Now] to stop printing immediately. This can result in waste or uncured ink.

  • Use [Release] to resume printing.

Hold button

Use the [Hold] button when you want to finish the current set of print jobs before stopping. The printer will finish the current job and then stop printing.

It prevents waste by stopping at a set boundary.

Use the [Hold] button to perform a planned quality check after a full set of printing, or when you need to add media, but do not need to interrupt printing immediately.

Stop now button

The [Stop Now] button appears after you press [Hold] once. Use the [Stop Now] button to stop printing as soon as possible.

The print process stops as soon as it is safe to do so. Ant unfinished copies are reprinted when printing of the job continues.

Printing cannot continue until you press the [Release] button.

Use the[ Stop Now] button if the wrong media is been loaded, if you notice a visible print defect that needs to be examined immediately, or if immediate operator action is needed.

Release button

Use the [Release] button to resume printing. The printer will continue the job at the top of the queue.

You can request [Release] when the printer is [On Hold], or when [On Hold] was requested, but the printer has not yet stopped.

Use the [Release] button when an issue has been resolved or a planned pause has been completed.
