Configure the user panel settings

Introduction

The tiles on the user panel allow you to perform copy, scan, and print jobs. In Express Webtools you can hide or unhide any tile to disable or enable its workflow.

Procedure

  1. Open the [Preferences] - [System defaults] tab.
  2. Click on [Edit] in the [User panel settings] section.
  3. Enable the settings of the tiles you want to hide.

    For example: set [Hide the Copy button] to [Enabled] to hide the Copy button on the user panel of the printer.

  4. Disable the settings of the tiles you want to show.

    For example: set [Hide the Print button] to [Disabled] to unhide the Print button on the user panel of the printer.

  5. Click [Ok] to confirm, or [Cancel] to reject your entries.

Results

The user panel shows only the tiles that are not hidden.

NOTE

When the Print tile is hidden, printing from USB is still possible. To prevent printing from USB, you have to disable USB. For more information, see Enable or disable USB.
