Background data synchronization information

Introduction

PRISMAlytics Accounting will retrieve accounting files (.ACL and .CSV (archived .ACL files)) from registered devices.

On your device, you can specify when a new .ACL file needs to be created, either "At start of day", "At start of week" or "At start of calendar month".

Only then will the actual accounting file be archived in your system as a .CSV file.

PRISMAlytics Accounting will retrieve, independent on the above setting:

  • One .ACL file

  • Zero or up to 99 .CSV file(s)

Retrieval of data is done in 2 steps:

  1. Cloud Proxy gets the accounting files from the registered devices

  2. Cloud Proxy sends those files to PRISMAlytics Accounting

Data can now be used in the reports.

The first time PRISMAlytics Accounting retrieves accounting files can take a longer time. This depends on whether your device has been running for a longer period of time with accounting enabled. If this is the case PRISMAlytics Accounting needs to retrieve at least 1 .ACL file and up to 99 .CSV files.

The following times, PRISMAlytics Accounting will only retrieve the newly created accounting files.
