Dimension

The syntax for @Dimension is "X Y", where X and Y are respectively the width (horizontal edge) and height (vertical edge) of the media. If X and/or Y = "0", the dimension specification of the media will be ignored and the orientation is assumed to be portrait.

In the PRISMAsync media catalogue, width is always less than or equal to the height. In JDF, this rule does not exist. However, whether X < Y, or Y < X, the correct media is always selected from the PRISMAsync media catalogue.

Syntax

XPath: /JDF/ResourcePool/Media/@Dimension

Type

XYPair

Supported range

Points (1 point=1/72 inch)

There is a tolerance of 5 points when specifying the media dimension. Any specified media which is within 5 points distance to a known standard media, or to a custom media defined in the media catalogue, is changed to the nearest corresponding known or custom media dimension.
