Shutdown Procedure

Introduction

Perform the Shutdown procedure at the end of productive session before long time idle state (overnight or during the weekend).

Finish a productive day with a manual dry tex-wipe tissue wipe on all printheads

Print a nozzle check to check for the number of failing nozzles.

If there are printheads with too many failing nozzles, perform a standard AMS procedure for the specific channels.

NOTE
Do an AMS when:
- more than 2 nozzles outs exist in a single printhead
- 2 or more adjacent nozzle outs exist in a single printhead
Reprint a nozzle check to check for the number of failing nozzles.
If there are still printheads with too many failing nozzles, do the following procedures for restoring persistent failing nozzles before leaving the engine in idle state:
- Dry Printhead Swabbing Procedure
- Manual Ink Purge and Printhead Swabbing
IMPORTANT
Power and compressed air are required in periods of inactivity so the printer can perform automatic functions to maintain its operating state. These functions are necessary to guarantee optimal printing performance.

When the printer needs to be shut down for an extended period of time (more than 14 days) please contact your local service representative so that the ink can be properly flushed from the system.
