JDF/JMF functionality in PRISMAdirect

Supported functionality

  • Submit an order

The order can contain a single job, or the order can contain multiple jobs. DSF will only send orders containing a single job.

  • Cancel a submitted job.

    • When an order contains one job, then both the job and the order are cancelled in PRISMAdirect. The job state and the order state become "Cancelled".

    • When an order contains multiple jobs, then the concerning job is removed from the order in PRISMAdirect. The concerning job disappears from the order without any feedback to the print room operator.

  • Request the available products of a web shop, i.e. a JDF endpoint. These products can be ordered by a customer. The attributes of each product are not returned.

Specify in the JDF ticket which product must be used to create a job of an order. If no product is specified, the job will be created using the default product of the JDF endpoint.

  • Request the status of an order either via a subscription or via polling.

  • Unsubscribe to status updates.

Unsupported functionality

  • Any changes to the ticket or job by the operator are not reported back to the third party web shop. For example, changes that are not reported back can be - but are not limited to: the operator changes the price, the operator requests a change to the job, update of ticket items, e.g. track & trace, etc.

Only order and job states, e.g. "Editing", "Waiting for approval", etc, are sent back; no details.

  • Products using a link to file or link to folder cannot be ordered.

  • An order cannot be resubmitted after the customer has changed the order.
