Define an output profile

This topic describes the following instructions

  1. Go to the output profiles

  2. View the status of the output files

  3. Delete an output profile

  4. Import an output profile

  5. Export an output profile

Output profiles are part of the media family.

Go to the output profiles

  1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Color]  → [Output profiles].

View the status of the output profiles

  • [In use]: the output profile is used in a media family.

  • [Factory-defined]: the output profile is factory defined.

  • [Production profile]: the name of the production profile for a composite output profile or device link profile.

  • [Simulation profile]: the name of the simulation profile for a composite output profile.

  • [Paper simulation]: indicates if paper simulation is used for a composite output profile.

Edit an output profile

You can only edit output profiles that are not factory defined.

  1. Select the output profile.

  2. Click [Edit].

  3. Change the name and description.

  4. Use the options [Production profile], [Simulation profile], and [Use paper simulation] when you want to create a composite output profile.

  5. Click [OK].

Delete an output profile

You cannot delete output profiles that are factory defined.

  1. Select the output profile.

  2. Click [Delete].

Import an output profile

  1. Click [Import].

  2. Browse to the required ICC file.

  3. Define a unique name and the description.

  4. Use the G7 option to import a G7 output profile.

  5. Use the options [Production profile], [Simulation profile], and [Use paper simulation] when you want to create a composite output profile.

  6. Click [OK].

Export an output profile

  1. Select an output profile.

  2. Click [Export].

  3. Browse to the location to store the output profile ICC file.
