Print a 'Double sided' application

Introduction

With the 'Double sided' recipe you can create banners printed on both sides.

In the example below, the PDF has two layers.

Procedure

  1. Launch the ONYX Thrive RIP Queue.
  2. Select your PDF and click on the [PRISMAguide] button.
  3. Select the 'Double sided' recipe.
  4. When you see a warning or a waiting message in the 'Layers' section, open the [Layers] tab and define the correct settings.

    The 'Double sided' recipe consists of 2 layers, one for the front, one for the back side of the media.

  5. Open the [Media layout] tab and define the correct settings.

    Then click on [Confirm settings]

  6. Open the [Print] tab and define the correct settings.

    Define the [Leading white strip], [Trailing white strip] and tick the checkbox if you want to have [Add lead-in/out images] printed.

    NOTE

    The preview shows the first and the last 5 meters. PRISMAguide XL Engine supports jobs up to 100 meters long.

  7. Define the [Job submission].

    You can decide if you want to submit the [Front] and [Back] at once to the printer or just one at a time. For example you could submit the front and, after you reversed the roll, submit the back.

  8. Click on the [Print] button.
