Register cloud service users and administrators

This topic contains the following instructions.

  1. Go to the cloud service administration portal

  2. Add a cloud service user

  3. Add a cloud service administrator

Go to the cloud service administration portal

When you have a cloud service administrator account, you can manage the registered printers and manage users for the cloud service applications. The cloud service administration portal is hosted on Microsoft Azure.

  1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Configuration]  → [Connectivity]  → [Cloud service].

  2. Click [Open cloud service administration portal].

NOTE

For direct access to the cloud service administration portal, enter https://remotecontrol.cpp.canon in the address bar of your browser.

Add a cloud service user

A user must be added by a cloud service administrator.

  1. Go to the cloud service administration portal.

  2. Log in as cloud service administrator.

  3. Enter the email address of the Microsoft or Google account in the Add a new cloud service user field.

  4. Click [Add].

    The user is added to the list of PRISMAlystics Dashboard users, the list of PRISMAsync Remote Match users and the list of Invited PRISMAsync Remote Control users.

    When this user installs the PRISMAsync Remote Control app and uses the app for the first time, the user will be part of the list of Active PRISMAsync Remote Control users.

  5. Click [Log out] to leave the portal.

Add a cloud service administrator

A new cloud service administrator must be added by another cloud service administrator. The new cloud service administrator must also have a Microsoft or Google account. A just added cloud service administrator first comes the list of invited cloud service administrators. When a cloud service administrator logs into a cloud service administration portal for the first time, the cloud service administrator is added to the list of administrators.

NOTE

All cloud service administrators are advised to create a dedicated Microsoft or Google account for the cloud service.

  1. Go to the cloud service administration portal.

  2. Log in as cloud service administrator.

  3. Enter the email address of the Microsoft or Google account in the [Add a new cloud service administrator] field.

  4. Click [Add].

  5. The email address is first added to the list of invited cloud service administrators.

    When the cloud service administrator logs into the cloud service administration portal for the first time, the account is added to the list of active cloud service administrators.

    The new cloud service administrator is also added to the lists of PRISMAlystics Dashboard and PRISMAsync Remote Match users.

  6. Click [Log out] to leave the portal.
