Go to the hotfolders

  4. Select an automated workflow to define the job and workflow properties. The automated workflow: (default) is used by default. Do not change this setting if the hotfolder is used in combination with a JDF ticket.

  5. Use the [Access] setting to select the authorization.

    • [All authorized users]: all authorized user accounts can use this hotfolder.

    • [Authorized users of a specific user group]: all authorized user accounts of a specific user group can use this hotfolder.

  6. Use the [User group] setting to select the user group, if you indicated that in step 5.

  7. Enable [Require encryption on SMB hotfolder] when you want to have an encrypted SMB connection. This way print jobs will be sent via a secure connection both to and from PRISMAsync.

    NOTE

SMB encryption is only supported by SMB v3.0. This is supported from Windows 8 clients or above, Linux clients with kernel 4.11 or above, and from macOS clients with version 10.11 or above.

    NOTE

The server has to be configured correctly in order to establish an encrypted connection.

    Enable SMB encryption

In the hotfolder list overview page, print jobs sent via an encrypted connection are marked with a small key icon, displayed next to the hotfolders in the "SMB path" column.

  8. Click [OK].
