Load a take-up roll core onto the roll winder

Introduction

When you want to wind media, you must load a take-up roll core onto the roll winder first.

For inside winding, you need the take-up media shaft with a gear that is marked with the number 2.

IMPORTANT

Make sure you use the core of an empty media roll with the same width or wider as the media you are printing on.

Procedure

  1. Locate the winder on the media output side.
  2. Push the green levers on both sides of the take-up media shaft. Remove the take-up media shaft from the winder.
  3. Pull the handle of the locking mechanism inside the core towards you. Take the empty media roll core and slide it on the media shaft.

You can use optional grip lock to insert the media shaft into the core of the new media roll:

    1. Pull the handle of the locking mechanism inside the core towards you.

    2. Place the grip lock in the feed media shaft.

    3. Take the empty media roll core and slide it onto the media shaft.

  4. Center the core on the media shaft.
  5. Push to place the media shaft back on the winder. Make sure it clicks in place.
