Configure Nozzle Uniformity Control (NUC)

To keep uniform behavior from the nozzles in the printhead, Nozzle Uniformity Control is performed.

Before you begin

Verify whether the media you print on can be used for NUC.

Procedure:

  1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Preferences]  → [System settings].

    [System settings] tab
  2. Go to the [Quality control sheets] section.

    [Quality control sheets] section
  3. Use the [Uniformity correction] setting to ensure the Nozzle Uniformity Control is enabled.

  4. Click [OK].

  5. Use the [Interval between uniformity correction sheets (number of sheets)] setting to define the number of sheets after which a quality control sheet is printed.

    IMPORTANT

Be aware that the print quality strongly depends on the Nozzle Uniformity measurements. When you decrease the interval, quality control sheets are printed more frequently. Subsequently, the printer can detect and correct deviations in nozzles more intensively. However, this affects the job productivity.
