The security policy prevents PRISMAproduce Tech from connecting to your printer.
Which port must be opened to allow the communication between PRISMAproduce Tech and the printer controller?
PRISMAproduce Tech may not be able to connect to the printer controller when:
A firewall on the workstation is configured to prevent connections to the intranet.
A firewall in the network is configured to prevent connections to the intranet through HTTP port 80.
A proxy is placed between the workstation and the printer controller.
If HTTPS communication is required with the printer and the correct certificates are installed on the printer and PRISMAproduce Tech cannot connect with the printer, then access via port 443 might be blocked or the root certificate is not installed on the client workstation.
To be able to connect to the printer controller, PRISMAproduce Tech needs only the outgoing HTTP port 80 to be opened on the workstation.
Make sure that no proxy server blocks the communication between the workstation hosting PRISMAproduce Tech and the printer controller.
To get detailed security information about the use of PRISMAproduce Tech with your printer, refer to the plotWAVE-colorWAVE Systems Security - Administration guide available on the downloads website, https://downloads.cpp.canon.
PRISMAproduce Tech can use HTTPS with printers which support HTTPS and have a CA-sgined certificate installed on the printer.
The root certificate also needs to be installed on the workstation that runs PRISMAproduce Tech.
Port 443 will be used.
To be able to connect to a imagePROGRAF printer, PRISMAproduce Tech needs the outgoing CPCA port 47545 in UDP mode to be opened on the workstation.
To be able to print to a imagePROGRAF printer, PRISMAproduce Tech needs the outgoing RAW port 9100 or LPR port 515 (depending on the port selected when the Canon driver was installed) in TCP mode to be opened on the workstation.
