Carrying out the colour validation procedure in PRISMAcolor Manager consists of a few easy actions. Follow the steps below to perform your first colour validation procedure successfully.
If required, create custom metric tolerance and reference value sets in the [Configuration] app, see Metric tolerance sets and Reference value sets. Note that there are a number of metric tolerance and reference value sets already available.
Import or create a test specification in the [Configuration] app, see Test specifications.
Add substrates in the [Configuration] app, see Substrates.
Create a colour validation test for a specific printer, substrate and test specification in the [Color tests] app, see Color tests app.
Download and print the test chart for the chosen colour validation test in the [Color tests] app, see Color tests app.
For the best possible result, calibrate the printer before you print the test chart.
Measure the test chart with a spectrophotometer in the [Measurement] app, see Measurement app.
Review your colour validation results in the [Validation results] and [Test name] apps, see Validation results app and Test report app.
You can reuse the metric tolerance and reference value sets, substrates as well as test specification that you created in your next colour validation tests. This will save you time in the future.
