A Hot Folder is a directory that is permanently scanned by PRISMAproduce Tech. When the Hot Folder is active, every new document that is found in the directory is automatically added to a job of the corresponding printer. The template defined for the Hot Folder will be applied.
Each connected printer can have up to five active Hot Folders at the same time.
Recommendation: have a maximum of 10 Hot Folders active per PRISMAproduce Tech installation.
The user can select the Hot Folder path (a network location or local location) and the template to be applied.
A job found in a Hot Folder whose setting [Auto print] is enabled, will directly be submitted.
If there is a warning on the job, the job appears in the user interface.
You can also set the check frequency of the Hot Folders, see Advanced settings
To delete a Hot Folder, select it and click on [Delete].
Click on [Empty] to delete all files from all Hot Folders of the selected printer, while PRISMAproduce Tech is running.
When a Hot Folder is in warning, the background color changes to orange.
