The Océ VarioPrint i-series can emulate a Xerox® 700 Digital Color Press. When you use Océ DPlink, the Xerox® FreeFlow™ Makeready and Output Manager software can print to the Océ VarioPrint i-series.
The Océ VarioPrint i-series supports the Document Scan and Makeready application of the Xerox FreeFlow software. To create the connection between the Océ VarioPrint i-series and the Xerox FreeFlow software, Océ developed the Océ DPlink software as an interface between the two systems.
Océ DPlink is a software application that runs on the PRISMAsync. A print job is created when you print from the Xerox Makeready application. The print job contains a job ticket, which defines how the job is programmed, and the document content which is embedded in PostScript.
The job is submitted via LPR/IPP towards the LPD interface of the PRISMAsync. The received print job is converted and processed by the PDF interpreter.

The Océ VarioPrint i-series supports direct PDF printing.
