Monitor printers on your smartphone

PRISMAsync Remote Control allows you to monitor printers on your smartphone in two ways.

  • Monitor notifications of the printer.

  • View the printer status and upcoming events.

Set notifications on your smartphone

To receive notifications on your smartphone, you must define the required settings on your smartphone. The illustration below shows the notifications settings on an iPhone.

Android smartphones have different options see Monitor the printer status for detailed information.

Notifications settings iOS

When you define the settings according the illustration above, you will get notifications as shown below.

Show in notification centre

Swipe down from the top of any screen to monitor notifications in the iPhone Notification Centre or Android Notification Panel.

Show on lock screen

Press the iPhone Home / Side button or the Android Sleep/Wake button to monitor notifications on your lock screen.

Show unlock screen Android

Notifications will appear while you use your smartphone.

NOTE

This functionality is not supported by iOS.

Monitor the printer status

The start screen of the PRISMAsync Remote Control app shows you the events view.

Events and error messages of a specific printer.

Touch the printer icon in the menu to view the status of the printers.

The following information is displayed for each configured printer

  • Printer status

  • Printer name

  • Last update information

  • Printer icon

  • Status icons

    For an overview of the status icons, go to: Status indicators.

  • Touch the bell icon to mute or unmute the notification sound for a specific printer.

    NOTE

    Both sound notifications and events are muted for this particular machine.

A notification about upcoming actions can be accompanied by a sound.

Touch the configuration icon to go to the configuration screen of PRISMAsync Remote Control to choose your preferred settings.

Account

  • Information about the account that is logged in. Use the logout button to log out of the application.

Notification levels

  • For Android devices, it is possible to choose specific notification types. For iOS, it is not possible to choose specific notification types. By default, all types are used. Figure 1

Warning time

  • Set you preferred warning time by using the slider.

    The warning time is the time between a notification and the expected time of an upcoming event.

Language

  • Set your preferred language.

    NOTE

    After adjusting the language, the app will automatically log in again.
