Paper output handling

Output trays

PRISMAsync sends a list of the available output trays to the host. Output trays can be selected through simple numbers – Media Destination ID. The output tray numbers in the host application are equal to the number in the IPDS data stream.

The number of available logical output bins is reported to the host during start-up of the printer. The IPDS output bin number is directly mapped to the logical output bin number of the printer. Logical bin number 0 is not supported.

You can map the default tray in the Settings Editor.

NOTE

Other finishers are not supported in IPDS for this printer.

Offset stacking

Offset stacking allows you to separate jobs or documents within the job through an offset of the stacker tray. An Alternate Offset Stacker command in the IPDS data stream will cause the printer to shift the output tray before the next page is stacked.
