Solve gloss banding

Introduction

Solve gloss banding on your print. Banding that is a disturbance in the gloss of the print in the carriage direction, repeated every swath. Follow the procedure below. You can stop at any time in the procedure when the problem is solved.

Procedure

  1. Select a different print mode. Select a print mode.
    1. In case of stripes in a kind of zebra pattern, usually when printing in [Speciality]  or sometimes [Backlit]  or [Reliance] , try the print mode [High Quality] .
    2. In case of banding on the boundary of each swath, try the print mode [Speciality] .
  2. Tune the printer platen temperature in the RIP. Change the media settings.
