About this task
Perform the following maintenance tasks on a daily basis.
Before you begin
Switch on and start up

Procedure
Print cleaning sheets
. When the printed sheets are dirty, repeat the

procedure.
When the printed sheets are still dirty or have ink pollution on the back of the media, as illustrated in
Ink pollution (lines) on the back of the media
or
Ink pollution (droplets) on the back of the media
, perform the
Clean wiper roller compartments
procedure and the
Clean the print surface and the vacuum holes
procedure.
If necessary, repeat step 1 and 2.
Check if the media output section of the printer shows clearly visible pollution. If yes,
clean
it.
When you use a stacker check if the media input section of the stacker shows clearly visible pollution. If yes,
clean
it.
When you use a folding device check if the media input section of the folding device shows clearly visible pollution. If yes,
clean
it.
