Why is the web site not loading or has formatting issues

Introduction

Each internet browser uses a cache to speed up the page loading process. However, it can sometimes cause a problem when the website is updated, which can cause problems loading and formatting the web page.

Also, the cache can grow quite large and use up a lot of disk space on your device. The more information that is cached, the slower your computer will react to changes requested by the cloud applications.

When you encounter this kind of problems it's time to Hard Reload the web page, which clears the browser's cache for a specific page.

It is best to clear your browser's cache from time to time. For more information, see your browser's help menu.

Procedure:

This procedure describes how to force the browser to delete the cached items and reload a specific web page.

All the browsers offer the "refresh" functionality, but this only ensures all the elements are loaded (either from the server, or from the cache). What you want is to completely bypass the cache.

The "hard reload" (or sometimes called "hard refresh") is only available as part of the developer's tools, and each browser uses a different way of accessing this functionality.
