The colour palette offers users the possibility to store and manage colours within the application. The palette can contain colours from the [RGB], [CMYK] and [Grayscale] colour space. It is not a complete library, but a means to quickly access the most-used colours and the colours from the document. The user can add, copy, edit and delete colours from the palette. Pantone Spot Colours libraries are automatically installed.
The available colours in the [Color palette] are shown in two tabs:
[My palette]
These colours are defined by the user.
[Document palette]
These colours are used in the current document for text and graphics. Colours of images are not available. Tab [Document palette] is only available when the colour palette is opened via the [Edit colors] dialogue.
The [Color palette] is available in the [Pages] and the [VDP] workspace.

Click [Spot color library...] if you want to use a default spot colour.
Select a library from the drop-down list. Select the spot colour from the list of colours. You can type - part of - a spot colour name in field [Name] and click button [Filter]. A subset of the available spot colours is displayed. Click [OK] when you have selected a spot colour.
The name of the default spot colour is automatically used for option [Spot color name]. It is recommended to change the [Spot color name] when you can change the [Tint] of the spot colour.
[Custom spot color]
Use the [Input mode] to define the [Color space] of the custom spot colour. You can define the colour manually or you can use the colour picker. You can change the [Tint] of the custom spot colour.
