Print applications using a PRISMAguide XL PDF

Introduction

Via the PRISMAguide XL Extensions plugins for Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator you can create a print-ready PDF.

When you export your design to a PRISMAguide XL PDF, the corresponding recipe is stored in the PDF. When you open the PRISMAguide XL PDF in PRISMAguide XL Engine the software automatically recognizes the correct recipe.

Before you begin

Create a PDF using a recipe in PRISMAguide XL Extensions. For more information PRISMAguide XL Extensions Help. In this example we created a Double sided application PDF with two layers, one for the front and one for the back side.

Procedure

  1. Launch the ONYX Thrive RIP Queue.
  2. Select the PRISMAguide XL PDF file and click on the PRISMAguide XL icon.
  3. You can see that PRISMAguide XL Engine automatically recognizes the built-in recipe.

    The two layers in the PDF are assigned to [Front] 1 and [Back] 1.

  4. Check the [Media layout] and [Print] specifications, then click on the [Print] button.
