The benefits of PRISMAsync Remote Match are the following:
Aligned print quality: Align the colour and media configuration to achieve comparable print quality on similar printers.
Consistent and aligned workflow: Work with the same workflow configuration to realise the same way of working on similar printers.
Configure media, colour and workflow on printers only once: Update the media, colour and workflow configuration of similar printers quickly and easily. For example, you can use the synchronisation mode where the main printer overwrites the media, colour and workflow definitions of the other cluster printers.
A PRISMAsync Remote Match cluster is a group of similar printers that you synchronise because the printers must share the same media, colour and workflow configuration.
PRISMAsync Remote Match cluster printers belong to the same commercial printer series and have the same printer software version.
The cluster definition includes the synchronisation area. The synchronisation area determines what part of the printer configuration must be synchronised:
[Colour] (only applies to a cluster of colour printers) , [Media], and [Workflow].
The cluster configuration also includes the synchronisation mode. The synchronisation mode determines how the synchronisation area must be synchronised:[Merge all cluster printers], [Merge with main printer ], and [Overwrite by main printer].
PRISMAsync Remote Match can be used for cluster printers that belong to the same or different LAN networks or company locations. Moreover, a printer can belong to two clusters.
When a printer belongs to two clusters, the synchronisation areas of the two clusters cannot overlap. In the example below, in cluster 1 the workflow configuration of the printer is synchronised and in cluster 2 the media and colour configuration of the printer is synchronised.
