Introduction

You can select a print mode that best suits your application. Select the print mode in the RIP software.

The location of the print modes differs, depending on the RIP you are using. For more information, see Manage media profiles in ONYX, Manage media profiles in Caldera.

High-quality printing typically used for applications with a higher density of ink especially used to optimise the quality of backlits.

NOTE

When you have to cut in a [Backlit] application, you can enable the [Saturate ink cut mode]. Especially used to minimise chipping across the edges, this setting doubles the number of passes from 8 to 16 in order to give the ink more time to settle on the media.
