Convert PDF TrueType fonts as CID font Type2

Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Preferences]  → [PDF]. See setting [Convert PDF TrueType fonts as CID font Type2].

  • [Convert PDF TrueType fonts as CID font Type2] = Disabled

    If this setting is disabled, double-byte TrueType fonts embedded in PDF files are converted into CID Type0 fonts. A conversion to CID Type0 fonts provides the best print quality.

    Setting [Convert PDF TrueType fonts as CID font Type2] is disabled by default.

  • [Convert PDF TrueType fonts as CID font Type2] = Enabled

    Faulty TrueType font hinting in some fonts can be solved. If this setting is enabled, double-byte TrueType fonts embedded in PDF files are converted into CID Type2 PostScript fonts.
