Edit an automation template

You can edit a subset of the settings of an existing automation template, but you cannot delete any settings. You can save the subset of settings to a parameter file. The other settings of the automation template will not be saved. You can use the parameter file to apply the changed settings to automation templates in the hot folders.

  1. Click [Herramientas] - [Plantillas de automatización] - [Catálogo de plantillas de automatización].

  2. Select an automation template and click [Editar].

    Type a new title for the document.

    Click [Documento] - [Propiedades] when you create the automation template.

    [Insertar páginas detrás de la selección]

    [Insertar páginas delante de la selección]

    Add the pages of one or more files to the document. You cannot change the location where the pages must be added.

    Click [Editar] - [Insertar páginas] when you create the automation template.

    [Guardar el documento con otro nombre]

    Change the filename and save the document to another location.

    Click [Archivo] - [Guardar como...] when you create the automation template.

    [Asignar material a la selección]

    Change the media for the selected pages. The imposition settings can be affected when you select other media.

    Click [Páginas] - [Asignar papel] when you create the automation template.

    Change the selected tab media or assign media without tabs to remove the tabs. When you change the tab media, you have to assign the tab captions to the selected tab media:

    1. Click [Documento] - [Títulos de pestañas].

    2. For option [Papel], select the correct tab media from the drop-down list.

    3. Click [Aceptar].

    Change the number of sets.

    In the [Producción] workspace, change the number of sets when you create the automation template. See icon:

    Change the job name.

    In the [Producción] workspace, change the job name when you create the automation template. Click icon:

    Change the file name and location for the PDF file when you print to PDF.

    When you create the automation template:

    1. In the [Producción] workspace, select the printer: PRISMAprepare print to PDF.

    2. Click [Imprimir].

      The [Imprimir a PDF] dialogue opens.

    3. Click [Examinar...] to configure the name and the location for the PDF file.

    4. Click [Guardar] and [Aceptar].

    Select the printer that you want to send your document to.

    In the [Producción] workspace, select the printer from the drop-down list when you create the automation template.

    Change the value for the barcode. The application does not check if the entered characters are accepted for the selected barcode.

    When you create the automation template:

    1. In the [Producción] workspace, select the [Disposición] tab.

    2. Open the settings of the [Plantilla de imposición].

    3. Open the settings of the [Marcas de impresión].

    4. Enable [Código de barras] and configure its settings.

    [Cambiar título del lomo]

    Type a new text for the spine caption.

    In the [Documento] workspace, click [Documento] - [Título del lomo] when you create the automation template.

  3. Click [Crear archivo de parámetros] to save the subset of settings of the automation template to a file. You can use the parameter file to apply the changed settings to automation templates used by the hot folders.

    1. Browse to the location where you want to save the file.

    2. Enter a file name and click [Guardar].

      The subset of settings are saved in a file with extension "mrparam".

  4. Click [Guardar] to apply your changes to the existing automation template. Or click [Guardar como...] to create a new automation template.

  5. Close the automation dialogues.
