Define a spot color library

This topic contains the following instructions.

The printer provides predefined spot color libraries, such as PANTONE libraries and HKS libraries.

The Settings Editor can store three types of spot color libraries:

  • Pre-defined spot color libraries

  • Custom spot color libraries

  • Imported spot color libraries (Named color profiles).

Go to the spot colors libraries

  1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Color]  → [Spot color libraries].

Edit a spot color library

You can only edit previously imported spot color libraries (Named color profiles).

  1. Select the spot color library.

  2. Click [Edit].

  3. Change the name and description.

  4. Click [OK].

Import a spot color library

You can only import a Named color profile.

  1. Click [Import].

  2. Select the ICC file that contains the named color profile.

  3. Enter a name and description.

  4. Click [OK].

Export a spot color library

You can only export a previously imported spot color library (Named color profiles).

  1. Select the spot color library.

  2. Click [Export].

Delete a spot color library

You can only delete previously imported spot color libraries (Named color profiles).

  1. Select the spot color library.

  2. Click [Delete].

Reset a spot color library

You can only recover the original values of the spot colors of the predefined and imported spot color libraries.

IMPORTANT

When you select a custom spot color library, the [Reset] option deletes all custom spot color definitions.

  1. Select the spot color library.

  2. Click [Reset].

  3. Click [OK].
