Define a spot colour library

This topic contains the following instructions.

  1. Go to the spot colour libraries

The printer provides predefined spot colour libraries, such as PANTONE libraries and HKS libraries.

The Settings Editor can store three types of spot colour libraries:

  • Pre-defined spot colour libraries

  • Custom spot colour libraries

  • Imported spot colour libraries (Named colour profiles).

Go to the spot colours libraries

  1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Colour]  → [Spot colour libraries].

Edit a spot colour library

You can only edit previously imported spot colour libraries (Named colour profiles).

  1. Select the spot colour library.

  2. Click [Edit].

  3. Change the name and description.

  4. Click [OK].

Import a spot colour library

You can only import a Named colour profile.

  1. Click [Import].

  2. Select the ICC file that contains the named colour profile.

  3. Enter a name and description.

  4. Click [OK].

Export a spot colour library

You can only export a previously imported spot colour library (Named colour profiles).

  1. Select the spot colour library.

  2. Click [Export].

Delete a spot colour library

You can only delete previously imported spot colour libraries (Named colour profiles).

  1. Select the spot colour library.

  2. Click [Delete].

Reset a spot colour library

You can only recover the original values of the spot colours of the predefined and imported spot colour libraries.

IMPORTANT

When you select a custom spot colour library, the [Reset] option deletes all custom spot colour definitions.

  1. Select the spot colour library.

  2. Click [Reset].

  3. Click [OK].
