Unsharp lines and text

Introduction

Solve unsharp lines and text on your print. Follow the procedure below. You can stop at any time in the procedure when the problem is solved.

Procedure

  1. When you see a HALO effect caused by exceptional spreading of ink on the media before curing, select a faster print mode. Select a print mode.

  2. When you see unsharp lines or text caused by spreading of ink due to a high printer platen temperature, decrease the [Printer platen temperature] setting in the RIP.

  3. Perform media calibration. Calibrate the media.
  4. Check if the media settings in the RIP are correct, especially [Media thickness]. Change the media settings.
  5. Perform printhead calibration. Calibrate the printhead.
  6. Perform printhead carriage calibration. Calibrate the printhead carriage.
  7. When you are printing in [High quality] print mode, set the [Print strategy] setting to [Print strategy 3] . Change the media settings.
