Ordering VDP products is basically supported in two flavours:
Early bound VDP, PDF layout is already known via “Fixed document” in product setup in PRISMAdirect.
Late bound VDP, PDF layout is flexible and needs to be referenced in the JDF ticket. Setup as “File source” in product setup in PRISMAdirect.
The settings for the Data source are always the same. Choose "File source" and check "File system".
If no ProductName is used in the JDF ticket, the default product defined in the JDF Endpoint will be used. This must be a VDP product in that case.
Variations early bound
Linked to default product with referenced data file (.CSV, .XLS/.XLSX)
Linked to specific product referenced in JDF ticket with referenced data file (.CSV, .XLS/.XLSX)
Linked to default product with referenced data file and referenced zip file for images (.CSV, .XLS/.XLSX, .ZIP)

Variations late bound

Example referenced VDP resources in JDF ticket:
The PDF layout used for late bound VDP jobs should always contain the VDP definition created via PRISMAprepare.
