When do you use automatic shutdown

Use automatic shutdown to reduce the energy consumption during longer periods that the printer is not active, for example overnight or during weekends.

You define the days and times that the printer automatically shuts down.

NOTE

The Nozzle reconditioning mode does not function in the shutdown mode.

The printer leaves the shutdown mode when you press the sleep button .

IMPORTANT

The printer can only automatically shut down from the sleep mode. Ensure that the printer is in sleep mode before the configured shutdown time.

• The sleep mode timer must have been expired, or

• You must press the sleep button and touch [To sleep mode].

Configure automatic shutdown

1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Preferences]  → [System settings] .

2. Go to the [Energy save modes] section.

3. Use the [Sleep mode] setting to configure the sleep mode timer.

4. Use the [Automatic shutdown] setting to enable the automatic shutdown.

5. Go to [Wake-up timers] section.

6. Set the shutdown times. Indicate for each day if an automatic shutdown occurs. Define the shutdown time per day.
