Define the media catalogue

This topic describes the following instructions.

Go to the media catalogue on the Settings Editor

Go to the media catalogue on the Settings Editor

Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Media] → [Media] .

Import a media catalogue or special media definitions

Use the [Import] option to indicate if you want to import the media catalogue or the special media definitions.

The PRISMAsync Print Server media catalogue lists all media that can be selected for jobs. You can change several media attributes.

When you want to	Solution

Import a media catalogue or special media definitions	Special media is the media for banner and trailer pages, separator sheets, tickets, covers and auto gradation adjustment. Click [Import]. Indicate if you want to import the media catalogue or the special media definitions. Indicate if you want to replace or expand the media catalogue or special media definitions. Browse to the file. Confirm the selection. Click [Import]. Check the media family and surface type when you import a media catalogue from a printer that runs a software version lower than 4.1.
Export the media catalogue and special media definitions	Click [Export]. Indicate if you want to export the media catalogue or the special media definitions. Click [Export].
Restore the media catalogue.	Click [Restore]. Please note you cannot undo this action. Click [OK].
Show warnings when media miss attributes	The system administrator can change this setting. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Media] → [Configuration] . Enable the setting [Warnings on missing media attributes]. Click [OK].
Do media management from the control panel	The system administrator can change this setting. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Media] → [Configuration] . Enable the setting [Media management via control panel]. Enable the setting [Media optimisation via control panel].
