Print a [Day/night switch] application

Introduction

With the [Day/night switch] recipe you can create an application that displays different images during day and when the back light is switched on.

During the day, the white layer masks the image on the back layer. During the night, when the light is switched on, the white areas in the image on the back layer, allow more light to go through the ink layers, and thus the image is visible on the front now.

Procedure

  1. Open PRISMAguide XL Engine via the shortcut on your desktop or start menu.
  2. Click on [New job]
  3. Select the [Day/night switch] recipe.
  4. The [Overview] tab opens.

    Check / select the settings for:

    • [Printer]

    • [Media]

    • [Print mode]

  5. Click on [Select file].
  6. Open a PDF that you want to print using the [Day/night switch] recipe.
    NOTE

    PDF must contain 2 layers named:

    • 'Day' for the day image

    • 'Night' for the night mask

  7. Open the [Layers] tab.

    The recipe automatically assigns the correct settings per layer.

  8. Select the [Cut] tab.

    The [CropBox] is defined as [throughcut] path.

  9. Open the [Print] tab and check the settings.
  10. Click on the [Print] button to submit the job.
