Fill the bottle with PML

NOTE
  • In order to keep your hands clean, it is advised to use nitrile gloves when you work with ink, ColorGrip, PML, or SU70. For details, see the related material safety data sheets (Learn about printer maintenance).

  • Inks, ColorGrip PML and/or SU70 contain 1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. From the point of view of occupational health and safety, it is not recommended that people who are sensitive to chemicals (e.g., people with asthma) work with ink or chemicals.

  • When you spill any liquid, wipe up the drops with disposable towels and transfer the used towels to a sealable container appropriate for disposal.

Before you begin

  • Take the empty PML bottle and hose and place them next to the ink cabinet.

Procedure

Remove the cap of the PML bottle.

Detach the connector from the PML box.

  1. Press the white button to release the connector.

  2. Detach the connector from the spout of the PML box.

    NOTE

    The connector can drip liquid. Use cleaning cloths to clean the connector.

  3. Place the detached connector in the holder.

Connect the hose.

  1. Connect the hose to the PML box

  2. Use some force to push the hose until you hear a click.

  3. Remove the cap from the hose.

Insert the end of the hose into the PML bottle.

Rotate the flow control valve counterclockwise to open the PML flow.

When the PML bottle is full, rotate the flow control valve clockwise to stop the PML flow.

Detach the hose.

  1. Press the white button to release the hose.

  2. Detach the hose from the spout of the PML box.

    NOTE

    The hose can drip liquid. Use cleaning cloths to clean the hose.

  3. Place the orange cap on the hose.

Close the cap of the PML bottle.

Attach the connector.

  1. Take the connector from the metal holder and attach it to the spout of the PML box.

  2. Use some force to push the connector until you hear a click.
