Add new chapters or pages to the binder

In this exercise, you add new chapters or pages to the document.

  1. Open the file O'beCool_Endurance.pdf.

  2. In the left pane, select the [Document] workspace.

  3. Select the last page.

  4. From the menu, select [Edit]  → [Insert pages...]. The [Insert pages] dialogue opens.

  5. In the [Insert pages] dialogue:

    1. Click the '+' icon.

    2. Select O'beCool_Calcium.pdf, O'beCool_Fitness.pdf and O'beCool_Sport.pdf and click 'Open'.

      NOTE

      All three files can be selected at once.

    3. For [Position], select [After selection].

    4. For [Use page properties of], select [Last selected page].

      NOTE

      The pages do not have to use the same size or orientation.

  6. Click [OK]. The pages are inserted with the same media assigned.

    NOTE

    The file names appear as section names. When the structure view does not display a [Section] column, right-click the column header and checkmark it.

  7. From the menu, click [Select]  → [All] to select all pages.

  8. From the menu, select [Pages]  → [Punch]  → [4 Hole punch].

    NOTE

    When the structure view does not display a [Hole punch] column, right-click the column header and check it.

  9. In [Structure], select the section 'O'beCool_Fitness'. To do so, click the icon in the blue bar in front of the section column.

  10. From the menu, select [Pages]  → [Staple]  → [Corner staple left-top]. The section 'O'beCool_Fitness' is marked for stapling.

    NOTE

    The first page of the next section (O'beCool_Sport) was positioned on the back of a sheet, now it is automatically shifted to a new sheet, because it is defined as unstapled.
