Create notepad documents

In this exercise, you will create notepad documents by repeating one or more pages multiple times.

  1. Open the file Note pad A4.pdf.

  2. In the left pane, select the [Document] workspace.

  3. From the menu, click [Select]  → [All] to select all pages.

  4. From the menu, select [Edit]  → [Repeat pages...].

  5. Use a repetition factor of 20. Click [OK].

  6. The pages are now repeated. The first two pages are the master pages. If you change something in the master pages, this change will be applied to the slave pages.

  7. Go to the [Pages] workspace.

  8. Select the first master page. From the menu, select [Tools]  → [Select objects]. Or just use the keyboard combination Ctrl+B.

  9. Enlarge the view to 150%. Draw a rectangle around the printer image in the footer of the page. Press the [Delete] button on your keyboard. Click [Yes] for the confirmation of deleting the objects. The image and related objects are now deleted.

  10. In the left pane, select the [Document] workspace.

  11. From the menu, select [Tools]  → [Stamps]  → [Stamp catalogue...]. Click on [New].

  12. Type a name for the stamp. Select [Image] for the type. Click [Browse...], browse to the folder containing the training files and select the Company-logo.png file. Scale the image to 45% for horizontal and vertical scaling. Set the [Location] to [Behind page content]. Position the stamp to [Bottom left]. Deselect [Print stamp on both sides] for option [Back side].

  13. The stamp settings should look like this:

  14. Click [OK] and click [Close].

  15. Select the first page and select from the menu [Pages]  → [Apply stamp]  → [From stamp catalogue...]. Select the stamp of the company logo. Click [Apply] and [Close]. The master page 1 and all slave pages are now updated with the stamp.

  17. Save the file in the 'Participants' folder on the desktop with the name Scenario_9.pdf.
