Manage the printer drop-down list

Introduction

You can add and remove printers from the printer drop-down list.

NOTE

You can add up to 50 printers.

Recommendation: add a maximum of 25 printers to the list.

Procedure

  1. Click on the user name in the top menu bar.
  2. Click on [Printers].

    A new window opens

    Printers that have been automatically detected, are displayed with a circle-arrow in front of the name. You cannot delete these printers.

  3. To add a printer to the list:
    1. Click on the Add icon to clear the Hostname field, if needed.
    2. Enter printer IP address or hostname in the Hostname field.
    3. Click on [Connect].

      A result message is displayed momentarily on the bottom right-hand side of the window.

  4. To delete a printer from the list:
    1. Select the printer.
    2. Click on the Delete icon.
  5. To set preferences per printer:
    1. Select the printer.
    2. Set the preferences.

      The printer must be connected in PRISMAproduce Tech. The preferences depend on the printer type. For more information, see Set the preferences

      NOTE

      When you make changes to the preferences per printer, always click on [Update] in the [Printers] screen, for each printer you are making changes to.

  6. Click [Update] to save your settings.
