Configure sleep mode, low power mode and shutdown mode

This topic contains the following instructions.

  1. Go to the energy save modes and wake-up timers

  2. Define the sleep mode and sleep mode timer

  3. Define the low power mode and low power mode timer

  4. Define the energy level for sleep mode

  5. Define the energy level for low power mode

  6. Define automatic wake up for new jobs

  7. Define automatic shutdown

  8. Define the sleep mode for Perfect Binder

  9. Define that Perfect Binder leaves sleep mode when printer does

Go to the energy save modes and wake-up timers

  1. Open the Settings Editor and go to: [Preferences]  → [System settings]  → [Energy save modes].

Define the sleep mode and sleep mode timer

  1. Use the [Sleep mode timer enabled] option to enable the sleep mode.

  2. Click [OK].

  3. Use the [Sleep mode timer] option to set the sleep mode timer.

  4. Click [OK].

  5. Use the [Wake up when new jobs arrive] to define if the sleep mode or lower power mode must be left for a new scheduled job.

  6. Click [OK].

Define the low power mode and low power mode timer

  1. Use the [Low power mode timer] option to enable the low power mode.

  2. Click [OK].

  3. Use the [Low power mode timer] option to set the low power mode timer.

  4. Click [OK].

  5. Use the [Wake up when new jobs arrive] to define if the sleep mode or lower power mode must be left for a new scheduled job.

  6. Click [OK].

Define the energy level for sleep mode

  1. Use the [Energy level during sleep mode] option to define the energy level .

    The printer leaves the sleep mode faster at a higher energy level.

  2. Click [OK].

Define the energy level for low power mode

  1. Use the [Energy level during low power mode] option to define the energy level for low power mode.

    The printer leaves the low power mode faster at a higher energy level.

  2. Click [OK].

Define automatic wake-up for new jobs

  1. Use the [Wake up when new jobs arrive] option to indicate that printer leaves the low power or sleep mode for a new job.

  2. Click [OK].

Define automatic wake-up

  1. Go to [Energy save modes].

  2. Ensure the sleep mode or low power mode is enabled.

  3. Use the [Automatic wake-up] option to enable the automatic awaking from sleep or low power mode

  4. Click [OK].

  5. Use the [Wake-up timers] option to indicate for each day if an automatic awaking must occur.

  6. Click [OK].

  7. Define the wake-up time per day.

  8. Click [OK].

Define automatic shutdown

  1. Go to [Energy save modes].

  2. Ensure the sleep mode or low power mode is enabled.

  3. Use the [Automatic shutdown] option to enable the automatic shutdown.

  4. Click [OK].

  5. Use the [Wake-up timers] option to indicate for each day if and when an automatic shutdown must occur.

  6. Click [OK].

  7. Define the shutdown time per day.

  8. Click [OK].

Define the sleep mode timer for Perfect Binder

  1. Use the [Perfect binder sleep mode timer] option to define the time after which the Perfect Binder enters the sleep mode.

  2. Click [OK].

Define that Perfect Binder leaves sleep mode when printer does

  1. Use the [Perfect binder and printer leave sleep mode at same time] option to indicate that the Perfect Binder leaves the sleep mode when the printer does.

  2. Click [OK].
