Job status explained

Introduction

The status of a job depends on the current step in the workflow. For each status, the set of available operations is different.

Jobs get assigned to the [Job intake] when they are created.

When a job is [Accepted], it is automatically moved to the [Job processing] workspace.

[Incoming]

Job was created by the operator on behalf of the customer.

[New]

Job has just been created.

[Incoming] jobs become [New] after being updated by the customer.

[Accepted]

Job has been accepted by the operator. The customer can no longer modify it.

The job was moved from the [Job intake] into the [Job processing] workspace.

[Approval pending]

Job awaits approval from the customer.

[Approved]

Job has been approved by the customer. The operator can no longer modify it.

[Prepress]

One of the files from this job needs to be prepared using [Job Editor] before the job can pe sent to the printer.

[Production]

Job is being produced.

[Postpress]

Job was printed, but some postpress operations were requested.

[Completed]

Job has reached the end of the workflow. One single operation is still available for this job: [Duplicate the job]
