Replace a colour with a spot colour for the complete document

  1. In the left pane, select the [Pages] workspace.

  2. From the menu, select [Pages]  → [Edit colours...]. The [Edit colours] dialogue opens.

  3. Select [One colour in an area].

  4. Select [Graphics] only and select [All] for option [Pages].

  5. Select the colour picker icon in the area [Before].

  6. Click with the colour picker on the purple area. The [Edit colours] dialogue now offers the possibility to change the selected colour.

    NOTE

    When the PDF file contains layers and there are more colours on the same spot, a list of colours will appear in the preview and you can select the colour you want to change.

  7. In [Replace colour], select [Colour palette...]. The [Colour palette] dialogue opens.

  8. Click the [New] button. The [New colour] dialogue opens.

  9. For [Colour space], select [Spot colour]. The [New colour] dialogue now displays extra settings.

  10. Click the [Spot colour library...] button. The spot colour library opens.

  11. At the top left, click the dropdown button and select the 'PANTONE + solid coated' option. The library opens.

  12. Select a spot colour, e.g. PANTONE 186 C.

    NOTE

    Use the filter, type '186' to find the PANTONE 186 C quickly.

  13. Click [OK] three times to return to the [Edit colours] dialogue.

  14. Select in section [After] the [Fill and stroke] and click the [Apply] and [Close] button. The preview shows that the purple colour is changed into the selected spot colour.

  15. Save the file in the 'Participants' folder on the desktop with the name Scenario_132.pdf.
